ok so idk what’s going on between Fakir and Mytho (whose name, inexplicably, is pronounced “mew-toe”) but i’m not entirely sure i like it

why is their ballet teacher a cat and why does he threaten his students with marriage if they misbehave

as someone who’s seen The Nutcracker at least 5 times, i really appreciate the allusions to the original ballet. especially when Duck does this move called Flower Waltz WHILE “Waltz of the Flowers” is playing non-diegetically? kinda cool. (also Drosselmeyer.)

i might be jumping the gun on this one but i feel like Jay Hickman was severely miscast as Mytho, his voice does notttt fit the aloof bishonen archetype from what i gather so far

i do like Chris Patton as Fakir though

I personally think that Jay Hickman was mostly picked to play Mytho for Mytho later on in the series. There is also more going on than Mytho simply being aloof that causes his character to be one of the hardest to voice act properly (or so I think, anyway).

As for Mr. Cat, I believe his threats of marriage are based off of an old Japanese myth or tale or something. It never really gets explained in-series though.

As for the other Sealing Stone, Rufus mentioned that it was at some other Lord/Duke’s place, but said to forget about it at that time. When it comes to Vincent, Glen has Leo’s memories, so maybe he brought Vincent in order to honor the deal that Vincent and Leo, or maybe he brought Vincent because he is a CoM. That part is still a little unclear, but I’m sure we will find out soon enough.

This is probably going to take me forever to write, since I want to make it a novel length fic, but I was just hit with an AU idea of Ada (when she was eight, so a year after Oz was sent into the Abyss) going back in time (due to trying out one of the spells in her spell book) and meeting Vincent, Gil, Jack, Oswald, and etc. pre-Tragedy (of course).

I’ll really have to think about it though, plan it out, and figure out how Ada’s presence there could change things/what affect she would have on people and events (it would though, of course, be a VinceAda fic, since they are an OTP of mine…it’s a must).

If you guys have any thoughts or suggestions or anything you would like to see or read in particular when it comes to this fic idea, just let me know!

So my mom and I have been working the same waitress job for 5-6 years now. She had been waitressing years before, but this is recently. Anyway, about… 15 minutes ago this guy she waited on left and told her to take care. Just that. Prior to this she had talked to him about Italy. Her people are from Florence, this and that, and she said she’s never been. She’s got 8 years of art education and she’s working a waitress job. It’s pretty… Sad and disappointing, I guess. Her and my father divorced 6 years ago and she hasn’t had a real job ever. Just been stuck in a small town she’s not from.

This man who we have never seen before tipped her 1000 dollars for a trip to Italy. Walked out, not another word.

Philadelphia: High school students walk out of class and march to City Hall to protest severe budget cuts and planned school closings, May 9, 2013.

The budget cuts are absolutely horrific. Here are some of the proposed changes:

Schools with more than 1,000 students would no longer be required to have librarians or librarian assistants.

Schools would no longer be required to have counselors, and counselors’ caseloads would no longer be capped.

Teachers could be assigned to unlimited classes outside their subject area, and high school teachers could be assigned an extra class without pay. There would be no limit on amount of consecutive time taught in a school day.

There would be no limit on class size

The district would no longer be required to provide copy machines, or “a sufficient number of instructional materials and textbooks.”

Counselors would no longer be guaranteed to have rooms with privacy and confidentiality, a telephone, a locked filing cabinet and a door.
