I I realized this needed to be updated. So, I am 23 years old now, a female, and I currently work in Japan. I am teaching English to Japanese youth and am currently located in Toyama. I like a variety of things, and every once in a while fanfics and translations will pop up!
P Some reasons why I love the Tsuritama fandom

It is the complete lack of shipping wars and pairings bashing.
Has this fandom ever even had a shipping war?

We’re shipping all these kinds of couples from the anime and we’re not bashing anything or fighting over which pairing is better. We’re not going, “I don’t like this pairing, so let me give a ten paragraph essay on why I don’t like it and why it’s stupid.”
We’re even shipping a man with his duck and no one’s going, “Eeewww…. that’s beastiality.”
We’re not going, “No! This Yuki/Haru is better!” “No! Natsuki/Yuki is!” Blah, blah, blah, typical shipping war stuff.

We’re all okay with what we ship and I’m greatly proud of this fandom for not being immature about people’s choice of ships.

Another reason if that we’re a rather peaceful fandom.
We’ve never gotten into a fight with other fandoms or with each other. I think the most negative thing that happened in this fandom was Natsuki bashing because of episode 7. But it’s all gone now.
We’re not hating on each other and we’re just incredibly friendly with each other. I also like how we’re all united especially on Tsuritama Thursdays. Having feels, hugs and all that. And I love this fandom’s sense of humor.
These guys make my trip to the Tsuritama tag really fun and enjoyable.
I don’t think we’re a fandom anymore. We’re a family.

I really adore this fandom as well! <3 And I like how the only “broken base” thing this fandom has had was over a haircut! XD

…I really need to start writing fics for this series…
